Art Gallery

Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, painting and ceramics has always been a creative outlet for Betsy. Since she was five, her mother has described her as a prolific artist, always building things from mud or clay and drawing and painting for hours at a time. In high school, Betsy earned statewide recognition as a painter and ceramic artist, which led to a full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She still paints when time permits. In recent years, her efforts have been mostly consumed with sculpting and glazing tiles she uses in her large public art murals. Now that she has established her public art career, her goal is to create more small paintings and mixed-media pieces between large commissioned projects. In this way, she hopes to better explore her personal visions and artistic expressions.
